Editorial standards

What gets covered, how it's checked, and how the site stays independent.

These are the rules every Pocket Fidelity story follows.

Accuracy

Leaks and rumours

Leaks are labelled as leaks until a brand confirms them. The story says where a leak came from and, where possible, how reliable that source has been. Leaks that can’t be traced to a source aren’t published.

Credit

When someone else reported a story first, it says so and links to them, however much it adds. Product images are taken from the brand’s own website or press materials and credited to the brand.

Independence

Corrections

When I get something wrong, I fix it, add a dated note to the story saying what changed, and list it on the corrections page. Mistakes don’t get quietly edited away.

Sound

I won’t describe how a product sounds unless I’ve listened to it myself, and the story will say so. The focus here is objective: specs, measurements and test results, and using those numbers to work out what’s actually good.
